We will open tomorrow @ 9am. Sad to say tomatoes are not quite ready, BUT corn, zucchini, peppers, cucumbers , kirby cucs are! The flowers look beautiful also. Come get a bunch or have fun cutting them yourself.
Check out this great article about the drought and how it affects the crops in our area. It features our farm with a great picture of Tom Jr, and Tony on the front page.
Click on the link below to see an article written by a NY blogger that visited some NJ Farm Markets. He wrote a nice piece about our farm and our variety pack we offer at the Farmers' Market.
We put in some early tomatoes under cover so that they will be ripe before the 4th of July. Strawberries are a plenty and the plums look great on the tree. We can't wait for summer!
Our stand is not open yet, BUT the market is opening next weekend! We should have some of our favorite spring crops: spinach, leeks, lettuces and more. We will also be selling our wonderful vegetable start-ups which are ready to be put in the ground now.
See you there!
Summer may be ending soon, but the farm is still going strong. Most of the vegetables will be picked up until frost, including the tomatoes.
Look for new produce picking soon: butternut, acorn and spaghetti squash. scallions, beets, sweet potatoes, and more...
Coming next month for Fall: pumpkins, corn stalks, and gourds!
We now have cantaloupes, canary melons and watermelons on the stand.
Be adventurous and try the bright yellow canary melons. They taste great and stay ripe a long time.
Yes, the time has finally come!!! Although they are small and not the prettiest, the tomatoes are absolutely worth the wait....
